As per Republic Act 9151, the National Apiculture Research Training and Development Institute (NARTDI) based at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-North La Union Campus (DMMMSU-NLUC), Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union, is mandated to: (1) educate and train beekeepers and apiculturists; (2) conduct researches; and (3) extend beekeeping technologies.
